H. Lee Thacker, Jr.

H. Lee Thacker Jr. joined Caldwell Trust Company in 1996 following a distinguished career in banking and financial services dating to 1959. A graduate of Duke University with a degree in Economics, Lee formerly held the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.

After decades of dedicated service as an employee of Caldwell Trust Company, Lee is now retired from his staff role and continues his commitment to the firm as a Director of the Board. He has served as a director since 2007 and has been a member of the Executive and Trust Committees.

Lee’s commitment to community service extends throughout his career. For decades, he has volunteered with Boys & Girls Clubs, serving in leadership and board roles in Columbia, South Carolina; Orlando, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and most recently with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County.

The Story of How Lee Became a Board Member of Caldwell Trust Company:
When H. Lee Thacker, Jr., moved to Venice from Atlanta in the mid-90s, he looked for a solid, reputable company to handle his investment needs. “I visited Caldwell Trust Company as a potential client and was so pleased that I signed on, “he says. He could not have known that he had also found a new career as both a staff member – he is vice president, secretary, and trust officer – and a director. His wife Suzanne had also become a part of the Caldwell family as trust compliance coordinator.
