Vice President and Trust Officer

Alan H. Blair, Ph.D., has had a long and successful career in the trust banking industry for more than 23 years. He serves as vice president and trust officer of Caldwell Trust Company in the Sarasota office. He came to Caldwell from a large commercial trust bank, where he had been a senior regional trust officer and first vice president.

In 1989, he moved to Bradenton, Florida, where he served as executive director and CEO of the Manatee Community College Foundation, Inc., until 1999, when he concluded 30 years in higher education and began his career as a trust officer.

Throughout his career, he has combined his background in education and finance, providing institutional advancement services to colleges and trust administration services to banks and individuals.

Mr. Blair is recognized by the American Bankers Association as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School. He also holds certifications from the Executive Leadership Institute of Indiana University and the Management Institute for Senior Administrators of Stanford University.
